we cheered him up when he passed us by (we were sitting on one of

those street bar tables). believe or not, i heard that they are not

covered by the insurance for the occupational injury/death. how could

this be true?

6500 liters -> 9-16 minutes, depending on the thickness of the hose used.

we passed this alley to find a good place to have our 3rd round of

drinking and talking, and i thought something smelled funny.

3 minutes later - fire trucks started to arrive at the scene and

“it sucks”, a friend having chocolate phone said.

this phone boasts the touchpad style external keypads (the key

navigation / soft keys). and obviously they are the source of all

problems.

- errors due to the total lack of feedback what is pressed

- no ‘end’ button in call, identical volume control key & ‘end’ key on

each sides, which also causes frequent errors

style victim? or simply arrogance?

definitely not qualified as good design.

a football game scheduled at 2am local time.

got dropped off at around midnight in the middle of the city from the airport.

the city center’s brightly lit with loud cheers (but there’s very few

residential households around the city hall).

tried to catch a cab for a very short ride to my sister’s.

rejection after rejections.

theories:

1) taxi drivers believe that normal human beings should be able to

walk such a short distance, regardless how much luggage the person has

2) taxi drivers are too poor to take their chance on a short ride at

night (who knows what could happen on that route, when you’re making

peanuts on it)

3) taxi drivers at the time in that area were so dedicated to the

football fans that taking on non-fan passengers would be considered an

insult to the community

3) taxi drivers’ IIP rely on the number of long distance trips they

manage to get per day

i hate this country’s taxi system. its so damn cheap obviously

compared to other areas of consumption here. i didnt even have the

luck to bump into one of those so-called ‘delux’ cabs.

had to call my sister to pick me up, after all - at around 1am.

Transparent display is in the middle of the house, showing the resident and her pet. They’re affected by knocking on the door (or shaking the house). Its an alternative form of tamagochi, but somewhat overdone.

walking along jong-no (big road in seoul), i realized most of the food

stalls had the same name, “kim-dduk-sun”. thought it was incredibly

stupid - but somoeone told me later that it’s actually the name of a

dish these street stalls commonly serve. i need to catch up on the

street culture..
