iPod, not Apple Originally uploaded by
jabberer.
sony, canon, casio, nikon, fujifilm, pentax, olympus, and…. iPod!
i did hear from our local marketing people that people know iPod as
iPod, thus the brand name ‘Apple’ is almost non-existent for the
locals.

‘gong-ri’ (probably this is the korean pronunciation of her name)

shopping mall Originally uploaded by

near people’s square.
with japanese investment. lots of people waiting at the entrance of
the department store, but there are very few people inside. a little
intimidating design of the space considering other local places.

receipt lottery Originally uploaded by

to promote the use of receipts (and thus to prevent tax fraud)
chinese government made this system in which the receipts function as
the mini-lottery tickets. i never got any. but from what i hear people
at most won 10 yuans anyway.
