Karaoke night- to my japanese colleagues’ embarrassment, we were so picky about the room we got based on the wall decoration. Original plan was to go to the hello kitty theme karaoke in gotanda, but their contract with sanrio ended and thus all rooms became ‘normal’.
found these on the way to office from d&department at a local
supermarket. a guy was grilling these on the street. i associate them
with coming of the winter.
bought one, and it was still warm after 4 hours!
i hope it turns out edible… lots of missing ingredients. the
japanese versions of jut-gal (‘shiokara no zuke’ in japanese, a kind
of fish sauce) i could find in my neighborhood was so different from
korean ones, so i ended up skipping it completely.
