Waiting at japanese embassy. The first look at the country info counter shows me two brochures of the same content which read on the cover: ‘history of the name “sea of japan”- the name is geographically and historically established and is currently used all over the world, except for a country or so claiming that the name should be changed to the “east sea”. The claim, which requires a change from “japan sea” to “east sea”, has a lack of rationale. This change will cause confusion in international geographical order. This pamphlet is presented to provide the grounds for japan’s stance on this.’ by ministry of foreign affairs of japan. Have sweden and finland fought over the name of the sea between them? I like learning history and discussing over it but dont want to bother about hair-splitting fights over pseudo-scientific facts. I know its important, but its just not for me.

The reason why i had to come home lunch time: the moving company was supposed to deliver packing boxes today. The guy called me while i was in a meeting but didnt speak much english (kept saying ‘thank you’ which sounded like he meant ‘i dont get it’). So transferred phone to my dear finnish colleague to leave the boxes in the yard. So had to come to check the status cuz of chances of rain.
