minty finland

I heard about a friend’s visit to helsinki today whose birthday is tomorrow. Had to come up with something meaningful that can be prepared in the short period of time. He’s the same kind of mint freak as i am, so i made a collection out of mint products available at any finnish groceries. Plus a small bottle of minttu, ‘fresh breath from finland’, at alcohol volume of 50%.

bike hospital

Finally brought my bike to the repair shop. Obviously someone did a good job making the shop’s business flourish: there’s a long queue before you and you may not see your bike for weeks!

jaskan special

jaskan special

jaskan special

“kolme jaskan special.” three of us excited about our virgin jaskan experience. “kaikki but ei kurku.” my broken finnish- one of us was allergic to cucumber, so no relish for him. But it’s too complicated to say that, so relish for no one. The result: no one managed to finish the whole jaskan special. It’ll be something of a life time achievement if done.

details

Working on tiniest little design details for a project with my colleague. Turn-taking on a common document requires not only skilled mindset, but also considerations for the other’s working style and pattern. I’m lucky to have those equipped with both to work with me.

disappointment

I had a secret hobby of reading a few pages of chick-lit or popular fictions (those that take 0 brain power to turn the page- or something that replenishes the gossip deficiency around here) at the bookstore after gym. I found that a book i had read about 150 pages so far was gone, sold. Time to quit.

mini picnic

mini picnic

Doing-nothing, thinking-nothing picnic. And a happy finnish picnic basket- the lady who sold this told me that ‘its handmade by my husband’. Gosh, how special is that?
