It’s here …Further to my earlier post, Nokia’s Bluetooth social computing application goes live today at nokia.com/sensor. It’s free of charge and it depends on networks effects — the more people use it, the better it works — so check

philippe> we had the feature in our earlier prototypes which turned out to be a very important success factor for distributing the application. sadly, it was not possible with Sensor for several reasons. one of the reasons was the complexity of the distribution: ideally we wished there would be only 1 SW version. soon we found out that at least 3 different versions of the SW were necessary in order to support multiple phone models (that’s why there are 3 builds with 4 language pack variants in each). this alone is sufficiently detrimental to the phone-to-phone distribution user experience.

antoine> we’ll see :-) from my personal point of view, i would like to see the user research continuing since we still have a lot to learn, particularly when it comes to what makes mobile social software work in the real world.
