h&m
2004.11.16 - 05:11I biked in the rain to the gym but was late to class by 2 min (by a stubborn novice-ish receptionist). Not so keen on boring cardio machine today, had to choose the next best exercise: taking a walk in/ among shops. Went to a big h&m shop across the street from gym. Karl Largerfelt had his face stuck in many of this brand’s ads recently. Many shacks for goods specifically ‘designed’ by him. All of those items have a tag w his sig & quote “..hope you enjoy this clothes as much as i did designing it..” Could his design be noteworthy/outstanding without chanel logo, or exclusive material/better workmanship? What does this brand expect to gain out of this performance when tons of clothes by this company are copies of other labels anyway? I’d be amused if they simply start putting a tag on each reasonably priced, low quality piece of clothing saying “design copy of xxx, 05 spring collection, made cheaper by h&m”. Oh, perhaps this would make the consumer price go up a bit.
* there was a message left in my voice mail by the gym customer manager when i came home.. ;-)

But what was the message from the gym customer manager? :)
