cursing low

thank you very much microsoft!
coming back from internet-less 1-month holiday, my hotmail account got re-set
(when was the rule created?)

1 new email from msn

is all i got there

i was using it mostly for the junk mail basket anyway
but there were ‘emotionally important’ emails from family and friends (some of who are no longer in contact) since 1997 especially when i was on transit!

it’s apparent that getting a stable, usable permanent web-based email seems to be quite difficult for free

been using younghee.com email forwarding addresses for many years but lately i found many emails sent to those addresses are bounced back to the sender without ever reaching me

is it being pretentious of me to think that losing an electronic memento which was never cared for is sad?

emotionally important things are not necessarily always in contact with our daily lives. rather it’s like the deposit in the safe – to know that ‘it’s there’ is enough. to the contrary, to know that it’s gone to the waste basket of ms’ hotmail server is enough to piss me off for one day.

hitto! hitto! hitto!

Gmail would be better than Hotmail anyhow. Besides, for IM, Jabber is so much better. Btw, I still got a couple of Gmail invitations left…

You really should use a stronger expletive than “hitto” (=”darn”)
